Our Mission

The Planting of the Lord Christian Holiness Church is a Bible-based ministry that strives to fulfill the spiritual needs of every human being, regardless of plight, through preaching and teaching the glorious Gospel of Jesus Christ, all according to Isaiah 61:1-3.

The Planting of the Lord’s goal is to work towards improving the social and economic conditions of the St. Louis Metropolitan area through the creation and institution of community-oriented programming, which will ultimately empower people to live successful lives, all according to 3 John 1-5.

CHURCH HISTORY
The Planting of the Lord was organized by Pastor David A. Catron. The Church was incorporated in December, 2006.  Our first service was held on April 15, 2007 @ the Dellwood Community Center of North STL County.

Our Affirmation
We believe the Bible to be the only inspired and infallibly written word of God.

We believe that there is but one God, who is co-equal, co-existent, and co-eternal in three distinct persons; God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Ghost.

We believe that Jesus Christ is the only Son of God the Father, the Father offered Him (Jesus) as the only acceptable sacrifice for the redemption of human sin, and that Jesus is the only mediator between God and man.

We believe the only means of salvation is through verbal confession of sin, repentence and complete belief in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

We believe that regeneration by the Holy Ghost is absolutely essential for personal salvation.

We believe in the sanctifying power of the Holy Ghost, by whose indwelling, the Christian is enabled to live a holy and separated life in this present world. Furthermore, We believe baptism in the Holy Ghost, according to Acts 2:4, is given to every believer who asks for it.

We believe Water Baptism is a necessary process of receiving salvation, according to St. John 3:5. Furthermore, We believe Water Baptism is an outward sign that one has accepted Christ as their personal Savior. Full immersion within water is to reflect regeneration and purification within God.

We believe that the redemptive work of Christ and His shed blood on the Cross now provides healing for the human body as an answer to a believing prayer.

We believe in the Blessed Hope, which is the rapture of the Church of God, which is in Christ at His return.
                                                                 Amen.
